Priorities and funded actions

Objectives

  • To strengthen the advanced digital skills talent pool in Europe
  • To develop, deploy, and use cutting-edge digital technologies and infrastructures

Priorities

  • Priority 1: To focus on establishing sectoral digital skills academies in the strategic areas of
    Quantum Technologies, AI and Generative AI (‘GenAI’), Virtual Worlds

Among financed actions

  • Designing and delivering education and training programmes, including higher education curricula, self-standing training modules, and on-the-job training
  • Building ecosystems by fostering collaboration among academia, training institutions, industry, and research
  • Establishing mechanisms to measure progress in addressing skills gaps

Eligibility

  • Be a legal person
  • Be a public or private entity
  • Be established in one of the eligible countries:
    • EU Member States (including overseas countries and territories)
    • Non-EU states: listed EEA countries and countries associated to the Digital Europe Programme (Click here)
  • A consortium composed of
    • minimum 5 entities from at least 3 different eligible countries which, complies different conditions (see details on the call document) must be constituted (DIGITAL-2025-SKILLS-08-QUANTUM-ACADEMY-STEP)
    • minimum 6 entities from at least 3 different eligible countries, which complies different conditions (see details on the call document) must be constituted (DIGITAL-2025-SKILLS-08-GENAI-ACADEMY-STEP)
    • minimum 6 entities from at least 4 different eligible countries, which complies different conditions (see details on the call document) must be constituted (DIGITAL-2025-SKILLS-08-VIRTUAL-WORLDS-ACADEMY-STEP)
